The idea of decorating a home in vintage style is not exactly new, with the movement starting in the 70s and it gained traction over the next two decades. The purpose is to consciously use fashions and trends that belong to the past, while bringing some of the motives and techniques back in the spotlight. A savvy decorator will use materials of the past as well, while trying to create a mix of styles that are no longer to be found in mainstream decorations.
