Van Gogh Architecture

Vincent van Gogh has left a wealth of artwork, including some memorable self-portraits and landscape paintings that can now be admired in famous museums. The Dutch artist suffered from anxiety and mental illness, but this didn’t have a negative effect on his artwork, in fact many consider that it acted as a catalyst. Less famous are the Van Gogh Architecture Art Prints but Picasso.com has the merit of bringing these masterpieces back in the spotlight and making them affordable for regular people.

Van Gogh started to draw at a young age and his talent is obvious even if we look at his early painting, and he ended up producing thousands of oil paintings, watercolors, sketches and prints. The Van Gogh architecture paintings represent only the tip of the iceberg, as he was more concerned about capturing the raw beauty of nature. Faces fascinated him just as much, but whenever he found the time and energy to focus on streets and buildings, the results were impressive.

Picasso.com has assembled a nice collection of Van Gogh architecture art prints, but many of them are centered on the city of Arles. He brilliantly captured the very fragrance that made the town special and the Cafe Terrace paintings as well as the Yellow House of Artists are easy to recognize. There are also some great Van Gogh architecture posters featuring iconic structures in Auvers and old meals and the city’s outskirts. The bottom line is that those who seek art created by the Dutch painter, focused on buildings rather than people and nature, will not be disappointed.
