Salmon Art
Salmon art has been around ever since ancient fisherman painted depictions of fish on the walls of their tents in order to bring in a good catch. These aquatic fish paintings have a proud history in many cultures and are still enjoyed by art audiences today. These works have a surprising variety of styles that are enjoyed around the world.
Salmon tribal paintings are highly symbolic in nature. In many cultures, including Celtic and Native American, salmon are seen as symbols of wisdom, intuition, knowledge, and even prophecy. Many fishing enthusiasts enjoy realistic salmon prints. Like many hunting images, these aquatic paintings are realistic in execution and frequently depict salmon in coastal areas or within water. Salmon artworks like 'Atlantic Salmon' and 'Grilse or Young Salmon' are examples of this kind of art.
