Kate Jarvik Birch is an American artist whose love for art sparked while she was still young. She grew up to display diverse artistic talents, including painting, drawing, writing, and more. Kate earned a Fine Arts degree from the University of Utah in 2005 and focused on building her artistic career. Her interest in textile design became an inspiration in her works, with a number of them showing the texture and pattern akin to that artistic discipline. They also display the decorative expressions of Arts and Crafts Movement and William Morris’ creative works. Owing to the creativity and quality of her artistic works, they’ve been used in television shows, including the famous Glee and 21 Jump Street, among several other feature films.

Even though she’s also commissioned to create artistic works for different customers, Kate mainly creates her own art and exhibits them in a variety of platforms including galleries, art festivals, and more. Besides her painting works, her literary works have also been widely sold and have been featured in a number of high profile magazines such as Isotope: A Journal of Literary Nature and Science Writing, Indiana Review and Saint Ann's Review. She mainly uses mixed media for making her paintings with her subjects mainly drawn florals. She’s currently a resident of Salt Lake City, Utah, where she lives together with her husband and children.
