Andrew Ren is a photographer who says that photography is a joy because it is a bridge that connects the outside world to his inner being. Ren tries to train his eye, and combine it with a continuously developing craftsmanship. Ren loves his career and says he can not exchange it for anything else. He produces art in a variety of finishing options to ensure that all his clients will at least have something to take home. He believes that producing art in a variety of finishing options is essential in increasing the collectability of his art. Though he is self-taught photographer, Ren has managed to build a reputation for himself and is now considered as one of the best photographers in the world.
His aim is to improve his skills in the arts field by working closely with other professional photographers, working in challenging environments, and taking on complex projects, thereby contributing in the growth of the photography industry. He sees his career as a process, not just a single event. It is like a race that can only be won by endurance and stamina. To him, photography is a wonderful journey that he will take for the rest of his life. He says that it's all about purifying oneself just like people do in the various religions. Ren uses Kodak 100tmx (Black and White film), mainly two Rolleiflex TLRs, a linhof 6x9 camera, occasionally a Pentax 67II camera. He’s open to learning new techniques and style. That’s why his art is always evolving.
