Maine Art

Many of those who visit the East Coast don't venture that far north and as a result, only a handful get to appreciate the beautiful scenery that Maine has to offer. The jagged coastline projects a rugged beauty, while the numerous lighthouses, captured at dusk or dawn are popular and recurrent symbols. It comes as no surprise that so many Maine art prints are depicting the beauty of the rocky coastline, because there are very few places in the United States that bear any resemblance to these shores.

Venturing deep into the mainland will reveal a different sort of picturesque landscape, with thick forests, majestic waterways and rolling mountains. All of them received ample coverage in Maine paintings and they would make a great addition to hotels and cabins.
