Westerners’ fascination for Chinese art in general and Chinese art calligraphy in particular is undeniable and it manifests on several levels. From tattoos whose significance evades virtually anyone but the owner to Chinese paintings that decorate the walls of some residences, this form of art is increasingly popular. It is hardly surprising since it has the oldest continuous tradition worldwide and has evolved over the course of millennia rather than centuries.
