Lakehouse Art Prints

Many artists are inspired by lakehouse art themes because there is such a large range of subject material and themes to play with. A lakehouse may be the serene, peaceful place you go on long weekends, it could bring back memories of learning to sail as a child, or it could even be the setting for a creepy horror story. Some artists will focus on the watercolor paintings of waterfront and nature side of the lakehouse whilst others may go for contemporary photographs and family portraits.

Richard Burns uses painting (mainly acrylic) to convey his love of nature and he has created several paintings to help raise money for wildlife and environmental causes. Whilst he is best known for his nature studies he is also fascinated by lakehouse wall art, cottages and light houses and many of his paintings focus on waterfronts and isolated cottage dwellings. His paintings have an almost Christmas-card like feel about them because he tends to focus on the cozy winter months.
