Princess Art

Fairy tale illustrations are common in this category, due to the amount of princesses that are portrayed in these stories. Because these forms of illustration have many similar symbols, princess art frequently employs such mystical aspects as fairies, magical palaces and other fantastic elements. Additionally, many of these fairy tale illustrations contain such imagery as ball gowns and crowns, in order for the viewer to identify the princess.

For many little girls, princess art is the perfect way to decorate a room. These princesses are generally child-like themselves and most of the artists who portray this type of whimsical art do so in flat, graphic styles that cavort and dance across the canvas in bright, pure colors that delight audiences.
